What is B.Sc. Accident and
Emergency Care Technology?
The
Accident and Emergency Care Technology course is a four-year course which
trains candidates in Emergency Medical techniques to become the first
responders to all kind of medical emergencies. They are taught knowledge and
skills to save the patients with various medical emergencies, within and
outside the hospital. Training experience is predominantly in the department of
Accident and Emergency Medicine. The Accident and Emergency care trained
technicians’ responsibility is to save many precious lives along with medical
team with any kind of emergency conditions. On completion of the course,
emergency care technicians have good opportunities in multi-specialty hospitals
in India and abroad.

Scope
of the Course:
· The BSc. – Accident & Emergency
Care Technology candidates in colleges/ institution will receive intellectual
knowledge and skills to provide inclusive and constant care for patients to
overcome the emergency situations.
· Students pursuing Bachelor of Science
or BSc Accident & Emergency Care Technology [or the B.Sc. AECT] course/
program will be able to recognize the equipment’s and drugs used in emergency
situations.
· BSc AECT medical program assists in
gaining expertise in treatments of first aid for several kinds of victims to
save life.
B.Sc. Accident and Emergency Care Technology Scope
of Career
Bachelor
of Science or B.sc in Emergency Medicine is one of the fastest growing
specialties in India. With consistently increasing number of hospitals and
opening of emergency services, there is a demand for trained personnel to
assist doctors in the management of intense emergencies and injury cases.
Graduates
of the bachelor’s program in AECT are often the frontline staff in Hospital
emergency rooms and casualties.
BSc
AECT medical professionals are also broadly sent in emergency medical transport
groups and in disaster management agencies, in first-aid stations located in
schools, colleges, Industrial facilities and corporate establishments.

40% Mandatory Subjects: Physics,

/ HSCE or other equivalent Board. |
