What is Automobile Engineering?
Automobile Engineering is a branch of engineering that
deals with designing, manufacturing, and maintenance of Automobiles. The course
in Automobile Engineering incorporates a range of sub-disciplines, starting
from designing the vehicles to manufacturing components, assembling, and
testing them for safety.
Ranked among
the best Automobile Engineering college in Punjab, India, UIE believes in
building robust foundation in various domains of the field so that students
could be effectively nurtured in all the multidisciplinary majors of the
subject. Our curriculum provides outstanding engineering temperament &
real-time experience, catering the escalating needs of the emerging Automobile
Industry.
Why
Study Automobile Engineering?
There are many advantages that may lead you to think
seriously about studying automotive engineering. Perhaps the most important of
them is that you will learn design studies, which include the various design
and manufacturing stages, as well as learn the basic details of the design of
many vehicles, including buses, trucks, motorcycles, and know their mechanical
systems that operate in them.
Specialization
is not limited to studying mechanical sciences only, but the study subject’s
department expands to include electrical sciences, electronics, motors and
wheel-drive systems, and the student at the end of the educational stage will
have a great degree of familiarity with the main elements of the car and
methods for determining the basic arithmetic indicators necessary to walk in
various types of roads.
Perhaps one of the most
distinguishing features of the study of automotive engineering is the great
effort made by universities in order to provide students with the skills
necessary to participate in the race of scientific research, innovation and
development, which is witnessing a great acceleration, especially in the field
of the automotive industry, and this would open the door wide open for students
to be creative and innovative in Several areas such as the level of driving for
cars and buses, and working to develop their own operating systems in order to
reach the highest efficiency and also modernize the safety and security
mechanisms of cars and buses in new and innovative ways.
The universities also provide a
good opportunity for students studying in the automotive industry, which is
practical training within large and pioneering companies in this field,
especially with the great development in this field, which will give the
student a great opportunity to be present in the real work environment and
understand the nature and different manufacturing steps that it is going
through. Cars and that would help the student to consolidate the scientific
concepts that he learned during the years of study inside the university.
Scope Of the Course?
There are a host of job opportunities for an
automobile engineer in production plants, service stations of automobile
companies, automobile manufacturing industries, motor vehicle departments of
control, transport companies, insurance company experts, and state transport
corporations, etc. the students are taught to be experts in CAD (Computer-Aided
Design), CAM, ERP and therefore one can easily join designing companies as
designers of automobile.
There are maintenance engineer jobs for the general
supervision in factories, automobile industries and supply chain automobiles of
various corporations. If any students further extend his degree like MBA after
completing graduation in Automobile engineering a host of other options open up
for them in marketing and management. Some of the job positions offered to
Automobile engineers and their respective salaries are given below in the
table:
Name of Job/Role |
Sales Officer – Generally recruited in automobile
company showrooms that manage the sale of automobiles to customers and also
keep an account of the stocks. |
Professor in engineering colleges |
Automobile engineer-responsible for various works
of manufacturing, testing, and product development in automotive industries. |
Design engineer- responsible for study and
research of automotive designs |
Product Development Engineer- in charge of
developing, designing, and assembling of products in automotive industries. |
Automobile Industry is a huge sector and one of the most essential products in every human’s life as without commutation no work is possible. The automobile industry changes every day as new technology arrives and therefore one who studies automobile engineering must keep themselves updated with the current norms. Even though we know that fossil fuel-driven automobiles are coming to an end in the future, but it doesn’t mean the end of the automotive industries. Newer cleaner and environment-friendly technology in automobiles are being developed as without automobiles it is very difficult to accomplish any task of business and development in an economy. Therefore, the scope of automobiles has become more extensive and there is a brighter future for all in automotive industries.
