National Defence Academy Exam is taken by Union public service commission. Thousands of Indian youth appear for the exam to make their career as an officer in Army, Navy or Air force. UPSC takes this exam twice a year across various locations. This exam is known as NDA-1 and NDA-2. Eligible candidates can apply online for this exam before the last date of registration. Eligibility Criteria for National Defence Academy
UPSC is very strict and stringent regarding eligibility criteria. They will not accept any application which is not up to the mark. So it is better that every candidate checks eligibility requirements.
- Candidate should have Indian Nationality
- Bhutan, Nepal or Tibetan refugee who came in India on or before January 1962 and settle down in India.
Marital status: only single male candidates are allowed to apply for the exam.
NDA-1: Candidate age should be in between these two dates 02/07/1999 and 01/07/2002
NDA-2: Candidate age should be in between this two dates 02/01/2000 and 01/01/2003
- Air force & Navy: 12th science passes with physics and mathematics subjects
- Army: 12th pass from government recognized education board.
- Current year student can also apply for NDA exams if they are able to fit in the age bracket.
- Applicant has to be physically fit and mentally stable.
- The candidate has to be according to National defense academy and naval academy standards.
- The applicant also has to appear for a medical checkup at the military hospital.
NDA 20108 Application Form
As we have mentioned earlier that online application form will be available from 10/01/2018 for NDA-1, while NDA-2 forms are available from 06/06/2018. UPSC does not accept offline application forms, so every candidate has to register through the online portal.
Registration is two parts which are personal details and exam related details. In the first part, a candidate has to enter a name, contact information, communication address, and qualification. On part 2 candidates have to choose exam center, upload photograph & sign, fees payment and confirmation of application. UPSC will not allow any modification to the application once it is submitted to the portal. So make sure you are filling exact details.
A candidate also has to pay INR 100 as application fees. It is only applicable to general candidates, while there is no need to pay fees for reservation candidates. Aspirants can make payment via online mode of offline with the help of SBI bank challan.
NDA 2018 Examination pattern

UPSC will ask multiple choice questions, and there will be two papers .i.e. Code-1 and Code-2. The exam will be PBT (pen based test), and a candidate will have 150 minutes for each code. Aspirants can choose Hindi or English language. There is negative marking too in the examination just like GATE and CLAT.
NDA 2018 syllabus
NDA 2018 syllabus is one of the most search education topics on the internet. Applicants can check this syllabus and start preparing for the exam according to it. UPSC will cover GK, Chemistry English, physics, current events, general science and geography in General ability test. A mathematic section will cover Statistics, Trigonometry, Probability, Vector Algebra, Algebra, Integral Calculus & Differential Equations and Differential Calculus.
NDA Admit card 2018 for 1 & 2
UPSC will declare admit-card 15 to 20 days before the examination. The Commission will not send hall ticket by Mail or post, so candidates have to download online via username and password. The Commission will declare the date of admit card on their website, so the candidate can check official website or visit our website regularly. The applicant also has to carry government-approved ID card at the time of exam and aspirant will not get entry without valid ID card.
NDA Answer Key 2018
UPSC will declare answer key after 2 to 3 weeks of examination. Candidates have to download the paper solution from official web portal. Students can get their key as per the set wise. Also, they can download question paper of actual set. NDA 2018 answer key will help students to check their chances of success.
NDA Result 2018
UPSC will declare result as soon as the paper checking, and date entry is over. Students have to visit official website after the result declaration where the candidate has to enter his registration number and date of birth. The successful candidate will get a chance to go into selection process where they will need a hard copy of the result. Also, there will be a list of shortlisted candidates for personal interview.
UPSC NDA Selection Process
The successful candidate will be called for SSB Interview. The applicant will get details of time and details in advance. The interview will be in two parts for five days. UPSC will check your picture perception skill, officer intelligence rating skill, Group Testing Officer, and Psychology Tests.
Document verification and Medical test
The candidate has to bring their 10th certificate, 12th certificate, age certificate and other documents. Shortlisted candidate has to give a medical test in the Military hospital.
